2011 MKYRA Princess
McKenzie Wansing
Hi, my name is McKenzie Lynn Wansing I am 11 years old. I’m sixth grader
at Holden Middle School in Holden, MO. I am a honor student and have won a national award for achieving the advanced
level on the map test. I am in the Jr Girls age division and compete in barrel racing, pole bending, breakaway roping, goat
tying and team roping. I chose to run for princess because I wanted to be more involved with the Mo-Kan association.
My responsibilities as 2011 princess are carrying the flags during the grand entry, carrying the sponsor flags between events
and helping new members meet the kids. I attend events to help promote youth rodeo and bring recognition to MKYRA.
My favorite responsibility as 2011 Princess is when I get to carry the American Flag at the rodeos. I love youth rodeo
because it is fun and exciting, I get to participate in events with my horse and be with all my friends. I would like
to wish all the MKYRA members good luck in their 2011 season.

2011 MKYRA Little Miss
Julianna Sprague
My
name is Julianna Sprague. I am 9 years old and I am especially excited about serving as the MKYRA Little Miss for the
2011 rodeo season! I like being Little Miss because others look up to me and I hope I can be a good example for everyone
this year. Anyone who knows me, knows that I love horses! One of my favorite things about rodeo is the partnership
I have with my horses. MKYRA is the perfect place for me to make our partnerships better because of all the help and
support I get from the other kids and their parents. I have learned so much this year already and we are just getting
started! I am really looking forward to making new friends this year and spending time with my old ones. I'm excited
to get the chance to be a good role model for my fellow competitors and anyone else out there who is interested in rodeo!
MKYRA is a great place to learn more about rodeo, make new friends, and most importantly HAVE FUN! Good luck to
everyone for a great year!!
